I was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas, where my passion for soccer began at an early age. During my senior year at S.H. Rider High School, I had the honor of winning a state championship in soccer—a milestone that helped shape my drive and work ethic.
I pursued higher education at Texas Christian University, where I earned a letter in soccer and, importantly, met my wife, Anne, who also played soccer. Anne, a proud native of Amarillo, has been a steadfast partner in both life and our shared interests.
After a brief stint in surgical sales, my commitment to medicine led me to Saba University School of Medicine. Upon completing medical school, I embarked on a preliminary general surgery year at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, before matching into an orthopedic residency at the same institution. My training culminated in an orthopedic trauma fellowship at R.A. Cowley Shock Trauma in Baltimore, MD.
My career in medicine began in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where I helped establish a trauma hospital, played an active role in resident education, developed a thriving research program, and provided comprehensive trauma care. When the opportunity arose to return to Texas, Anne and I eagerly embraced the chance to serve our home state. Since 2022, I have been dedicated to serving the Texas Panhandle, and I remain committed to making a difference in our community.
Family is the cornerstone of my life. I am blessed with a loving wife who runs her own business and teaches our three wonderful children. We are also active members of First Baptist Church Amarillo. In my free time, I enjoy coaching my children’s soccer teams, hunting, fly-fishing, snow-skiing, and restoring classic cars.
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to patient care that reflects the treatment I would wish for myself. I strive every day to say, "I did all I could," ensuring that every patient is met with compassion, expertise, and unwavering dedication.
